Cecilia Suhr is a musician, improviser, composer, producer, and cultural critic who performed music in and around NYC in venues such as Javitz Center, Central Park Boat House, Prviate Artist Gallery in soho, Galapagos, CBGBs, The Lucky Cats, Lezard Lounge etc. She also writes for art and cultural magazine such as the Art section and other academic journals in the area of music and social media. After accompanying several different bands as a keybordist and a violinist in NYC, she currently devotes much of her time recording ambient soundtracks suited for films, documentary and commercials as well as her own independent album projects in a variety of genres. In addition to the use of electronic sound, she typically improvises on violin, guitar, piano and sings classical and contemporary vocal styles.
